The words ‘Company Day’ can trigger a range of emotions among staff. Some will feel a buzz of excitement when the circular e-mail lands in their inbox. Others, a gnawing sense of trepidation at the prospect of having to contribute to interactive group games and team-building activities. Most will feel a mixture of the two.

UK Coaching employees gathered en masse at The Crown Plaza in Leeds in January in anticipation of a full day’s informal learning.

The theme of the day was ‘How we work together as one team’, and we explored through a series of fun tasks and thought-provoking presentations – courtesy of our CEO Mark Gannon and Head of Coaching Nick Levett – the principles and essential personal characteristics that go into establishing a high performing workforce.
